My Editing Philosophy

My working knowledge of a wide breadth of fields makes me uniquely qualified to edit biomedical literature, beyond the basic considerations of grammar, style, and punctuation.

I believe that anyone interested in a field should be able to understand the essence of a paper or grant, whether they are ensconced in that field or not. I ask questions from the perspective of a reader outside the immediate research area, highlighting potentially unclear usage of short-cuts or jargon.

I am extremely detail-oriented and therefore also excellent at editing for spelling, grammar, usage, style and punctuation.
